2005: Founding the Interoperability Consortium

Led by IBM, Oracle, Accenture, CSC, Manatt Phelps, Philips, and Microsoft. Recommendations led to $8M funding to establish ONC within HHS.

Vicerion’s Leadership Role: Designed and led out as a third-party neutral project manager guiding the interdisciplinary teams and producing the final product.
Objective: Advance seamless data exchange, transparency, and patient empowerment across healthcare systems.

2009: HITECH Act Enacted

Allocated $25.9B for health IT adoption, forming the U.S. EHR infrastructure.

Vicerion’s Leadership Role: Designed and led out on four RHIO community initiatives and national health record designs.
Objective: Increase awareness of winners and losers of the healthcare economic landscape and bring multidisciplinary teams together to solve for National good

2010–2015: Expansion and Global Engagement

Won four HIE contracts, delivered cross-border interoperability in 8 countries, rivaling Accenture and Deloitte.

Vicerion’s Leadership Role: Worked with MITRE, DoD, VA and other major provider/payer organizations on strategy, architecture, and interoperability.
Objective: Enabled strategic interoperability frameworks for EHR implementation and architecture across MITRE, DoD, VA, and major payers/providers, advancing national health data exchange initiatives.

2016: 21st Century Cures Act

Prohibited information blocking and empowered patient access. Our founder contributed key policy language.

Vicerion’s Role: Actively contributed to the policy development, technical standards, and regulatory language of both rulemaking tracks.
Objective: Contributed directly to federal rulemaking through policy input, technical standards alignment, and regulatory language development across both ONC and CMS tracks.

2020: Interoperability Rules Finalized

Contributed to ONC and CMS rulemaking that promoted FHIR enablement, transparency, and patient access.

Vicerion’s Role: Created a mapping system to cover USCDI and FHIR elements in ingestion layers of customer data platforms, create digital front doors across an enterprise leveraging SMART on FHIR technology.
Objective: Led clinical strategy and technical design for scalable care management and engagement solutions serving over 20 million members across diverse payers, providers, and government programs.

2022: Vicerion Corp Formed

Established to commercialize robust interoperability tools like ProMapper™, In-Focus™ EMPI, and CheckMate™.

She has led complex go-to-market efforts and multi-million-dollar enterprise sales cycles, building strong executive relationships and delivering on revenue and margin goals while driving product-market fit.

She has also served as a key voice in shaping national healthcare policy, including contributions to legislation and rulemaking focused on interoperability, patient access, and innovation-friendly regulation. Her advocacy for SMART on FHIR, USCDI, and standards-based APIs has helped advance the responsible liberation of clinical data for care, research, and equitable innovation.

Currently, Aaron serves as Team Lead at FlexMedStaff, and holds active roles with Sitka, Amwell, and SpecialtyCoverage LLC, where he supports virtual care delivery, clinical decision-making, and multidisciplinary care coordination.

Aaron is also a sought-after advisor on physician recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies, bringing firsthand knowledge of both front-line medicine and the operational demands of modern health systems.
